Relational Mission: Hope and Odd Socks

The mates to these socks were long gone, but she would hold on to them for dusting and various household chores. Sometimes, I’d ask my mom if I could have a few of the odd socks and I’d dig out scraps of fabric, buttons and yarn to create puppets out of those odds and ends. What one person might discard, another person with a little imagination can create opportunities for renewal and hope. The many faces of Owen Samuel

As my post last week cheering the fullness of Summer may have hinted - my grandson has arrived! Owen Samuel made his entrance on Father's Day  - June 16, 2013 at 11:39 AM. He weighed 7.13 lbs and was 21.75 inches long. What an amazing week it's been. Mommy and baby are doing fantastic - we all are so thankful. More to come, but wanted to give you pictures to start the wave of grandma posts to come!
