Uphill idealist

“Chloe, how big is your family?” Points to her family and counts.. “1, 2, 3 aaannnndddd...” “Four”, I say and point to her. She smiles. “Ok Chloe, how many people are in God’s family?”  Without delay she says, “All the people!” Yes Chloe, God’s family is for all people. 

Like the first day of school, this return requires a new backpack. There's a drive to sharpen the pencils, lay out tomorrow's clothes and pack my lunch. This is a new adventure and my bag is packed, I'm wearing walking shoes and I'm stepping onto an uncut path. This is the hike I've been waiting for.
