Today I went to look to see the host post at Sleeping with bread and found my blogging friend Mary Lue had posted some of my favorite scriptures as part of the focus for the week. Looking back, there were many times in the last week that fear was an issue for me. Either I was thinking about it, working my way around it and sometimes facing it and looking it straight in the eye. Thank you Mary Lue for reminding me that I'm not left alone to deal with the things that are fear for me. Thank you God for staying with me - always.
Isaiah 41:10
10 So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 43:1-5
1 But now, this is what the LORD says—
he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:
"Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
2 When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
3 For I am the LORD, your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
I give Egypt for your ransom,
Cush a]" style="font-size: 0.75em; line-height: 0.5em; ">[a] and Seba in your stead.
4 Since you are precious and honored in my sight,
and because I love you,
I will give men in exchange for you,
and people in exchange for your life.
