Free Refills?

Not grateful for:

Flu bug that shows up on a day off.
Cold rainy to snowy days throughout spring break.
Dissension rearing its head, after a great team project.
Waiting for restoration.

Grateful for:

Kind words of thanks and encouragement.
Efforts of one to include and respect another.
A project well done.
Knowing restoration in on the way.

Some days I just need to say it like it is. There have been some great things happening in the last week. Wonderful, encouraging and exciting things. Then there have been other things that have been stressing me out and almost getting me down. I know that in the journey of life the downs and ups are not evenly distributed. To those downers I place you into God's hands today and I will leave them there. To those uplifting things, I will name them and speak thanks over them.

Sometimes, you just have to say things as they are and let go a little.
Sometimes, you need to make some room to be filled up by the bread that brings life.
Hold on to the bread.

John 10:10 (New International Version, ©2011)

10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

St. Brigid Blessings on the Threshold

In preparation for St. Brigid’s day, I consider the blessings that are with us on the threshold.  What are the blessings, neither at the beginning or end, but in the middle.  In transitional spaces that take up most of our days? I think that the threshold can be a space of healing. An opportunity to see things in a new way. A river that takes us to new places of grace. May you feel the presence of love in your thresholds. May it flow from all our beginnings through to each end. May the space of threshold be a balm like lavender, healing our battle wounds. May we find healing in the inbetween. Healing lives on the threshold. #blessings #stbrigid #taralamontart
