This little light

This week I've been working on a banner project with some gentlemen living "First House", a recovery home now in the parsonage of my church. The group of guys gave direction on the theme verse, "But seek first His kingdom and his righteousness and all these things shall be given to you as well." Matthew 6:33



It's a fabric banner that I placed trim around, and then added a graphic of a lantern in the center. It was a great team project that will grace the entrance to the home for their open house this coming Friday.

Blessings to First house and all who live and enter there - let you light shine!

Thanks Sheri - the group loved it on Friday's open house. As folks came to the house opening, they added to the banner by writing blessings on it.

St. Brigid Blessings on the Threshold

In preparation for St. Brigid’s day, I consider the blessings that are with us on the threshold.  What are the blessings, neither at the beginning or end, but in the middle.  In transitional spaces that take up most of our days? I think that the threshold can be a space of healing. An opportunity to see things in a new way. A river that takes us to new places of grace. May you feel the presence of love in your thresholds. May it flow from all our beginnings through to each end. May the space of threshold be a balm like lavender, healing our battle wounds. May we find healing in the inbetween. Healing lives on the threshold. #blessings #stbrigid #taralamontart
