Car DRY for New Orleans

This Saturday the youth that are attending the ELCA Youth Gathering will be hosting a Car Dry and tire polish to help raise more funds for our trip to New Orleans July 21-27. We will be drying car washed cars and polishing tires for tips from 10am-2pm at ROBO wash directly off of Foote Ave. in Jamestown NY on Marion Street.

Help ups reach our goal so that we don't have to find out what it means to miss New Orleans!

If you would like to help sponsor our group of 10 to attend the ELCA Gathering, contact me at eastman_tara@yahoo.com or visit First Lutheran Church's website for more information.

Tara,

Sorry I missed the car drying, but I would like to donate some $ to the trip. It sounds like a terrific opportunity!

St. Brigid Blessings on the Threshold

In preparation for St. Brigid’s day, I consider the blessings that are with us on the threshold.  What are the blessings, neither at the beginning or end, but in the middle.  In transitional spaces that take up most of our days? I think that the threshold can be a space of healing. An opportunity to see things in a new way. A river that takes us to new places of grace. May you feel the presence of love in your thresholds. May it flow from all our beginnings through to each end. May the space of threshold be a balm like lavender, healing our battle wounds. May we find healing in the inbetween. Healing lives on the threshold. #blessings #stbrigid #taralamontart
