Exhale, inhale

Image from

Exhale all the worry, the doubt and fear,
Inhale peace, being present and things that help us draw near.

Exhale frustrations over triangulated tones,
Inhale respect for who we are to become known.

Exhale to let go of all that burdens your life,
Inhale what lifts up and makes you feel light.

Exhale expectations that no one expects,
Inhale inspiration that make better best.

Exhale whatever seems to block the way to
inhaling the goodness at the break of each day.

I landed on your blog after following links in Linkedin. (Guess that's what it's for!) Anyway, I just read this poem and it's the perfect way to start my day this morning. One line in particular leaped off the page and into my heart. "Exhale expectations that no one expects." Wow. Do you know me??? I carry all these burdens of expectations that no one but me actually expects. You brought a tear to my eye and lightness to my heart. Thank you.

I'm so thankful to read your comment today. The line you mention is close to my own experience as well. My own "perfectionist" voice is often too loud.

Inhaling much grace and exhaling perfectionism - today.
Thanks for reading!
